Overheard

A couple of interesting thoughts from Miss Liana today. As we were coloring she told me her hand was getting tired so she was just going to use her other one. I guess I never really thought of that.

She has a purple security blanky and told me today that she loves her blanky even if she is not sock, scared or sad. "I really like it when it is cold - no, I LOVE cold blanky."

From Constipation to Constellations

In just one short hour tonight Liana managed to provide some insight on both of these topics. It was actually the opposite of constipation but it was potty talk nonetheless. As she was on the potty Liana told mama that "grandma doesn't like it when I have diarrhea but daddy likes the way it smells." I am pleading the 5th on that one by the way.

A little while later we took a walk and I showed her the first couple of stars that were in the sky and at 3.5 she surprised me by saying "that might be a constellation." Sesame Street is totally paying off!

One other topic of discussion was about her friend Brady at preschool - he is one of the older kids in her class. The Nugget told me that he got a haircut and I asked her how it looked. She replied with one word "handsome". Hey Brady - watch yourself buddy...I got my eye on you!

Lucky Daddy

As I put her to bed last night, I shut off the light and said "I love you" to Liana. Before I walked out and shut the door she replied, "I love you more", and blew me a kiss. Is that the best, or what!?

Sweet Baby Girl

A couple of sweet things from The Nugget today...

When she got in her PJ's we said she could watch a show for a few minutes. She chose Sesame Street and then she snuggled up to me on the couch. About 5 seconds after I put my arm around her she said "Dad, say 'that's my girl'". I guess I must say that to her when she cuddles with me. Glad to know she cares :-)

The letter of the day was 'G' and I asked her what her favorite letter was. She said "L,H,M and D" because that's our family (Liana, Henry, Mama, and Dada in case you needed an assist there!). Yup, she's got me wrapped around that little finger...

Sleepy Sunday

A good day of fun at the Guevremont's meeting 2 month old baby Max. Liana and Henry were so good to Lyla and little Max. Naps on the way home have continued for over an hour!
