Back to School

So the Bomber started his second year of preschool today.  Such a big boy and so glad to be back ... for now!  He walked in, did his jobs and hot right down to business socializing with his buddies.

Daddy Daughter Day at #FenwayPark

I get to go to Fenway Park every day but I don't always get to go and just hang with the kids.  Today I had some work and Liana came in with me under the condition that there would be no meetings :-)

Big big heart

So the Nugget has to take a book home each night from school to read at night.  For each of the past three nights she has taken home a Hot Wheels book or something similar with car themes.  Tonight's was "Monster Trucks" and I asked why she has been bringing these types of books home (when I know she loves Fancy Nancy, Amelia Bedelia or other "girly" type books.  Her simple reply is that she knows that Henry will like them.

She loves that little man so much.  When she had dental surgery a few weeks ago resulting in 4 pulled teeth the Tooth Fairy gave her 10 gold coins (Sacagawea dollars).  Henry asked if he could have one and she obliged.  Ten minutes later she voluntarily offered to give him one more stating, "I still have 8 for myself". If that isn't sisterly love, I don't know what is!

Mommy's Little Girl

A great Mother's Day brunch today.  Henry didn't want to get in the picture because "they're too boring".

End if Summer -Unofficial

Yup.  It's Labor Day weekend marking the unofficial end if summer.  We made a run to Duxbury Beach in the late afternoon for a chilly dip in the ocean, some wiffleball and s'mores in the firepit. Oh yeah, and a killer sunset!  Wish every day could be like this!

Where's Liana?

It is the third day of school for the Nugget, but Henry doesn't start until this coming Monday.  So, he is home with mommy (his favorite person) but he is missing his sister.  Every day, a couple of hours after the bus comes, he will ask, "where's Liana"?  He saw her get on the bus but forgets that she is now in full day school and that she will be gone for a good chunk of the day.  Mommy reminds him that "she is at school" and then he makes a pouty face and says he doesn't want her to leave anymore.  I know it won't always be like this, but glad to know they are close for now.  He'll get busier with school, but only 3 days/week and from 9-1.  When he gets out he is going to want to see his good buddy Liana.  For now, he will have to play "Mario" (any Mario Brothers game on Wii, whether "MarioKart", "SuperMario Brothers", or "Mario Brothers London Olympics" are all referred to as "Mario") by himself or with mommy.
