Henry Rides With No Training Wheels

The little man got in some good practice last week but just couldn't master riding without training wheels.  He got back in the saddle today and made it happen.  He was so proud of himself (as were mommy and daddy).  Because of my recent surgery I was working from home today.  I wasn't even aware that mom and the Hman were giving it a go until I heard them yelling down the street.  We didn't capture the very first solo mission but I was able to get out there and get some proof of the milestone.  Check out the pics and the video.

I got kissed by the shortstop!

I showed up halfway through Liana's softball practice last night and she yelled "Daddy!" and ran all the way from shortstop to the 1st base dugout where I was walking to give me a hug and a kiss.  I felt special and was relieved that she didn't take a line drive in the face!

"ALL ABOUT HENRY" DAY

Since his birthday is in the summer, Henry doesn't get to have a birthday celebration at school.  BUT, in lieu of that he gets an "ALL ABOUT HENR"Y DAY.  Mommy and I got to come to the class and hang out, read stories and just "be" for the first hour or so.  Henry had us read "How to Get A Girlfriend" and he showed everyone Goldbug in "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go".  He got to ask the question of the day ("do you like kitties?") and be the bell ringer.  For his show and tell he brought in Pizzamania and showed everyone how to play.  So proud of this handsome, smart, polite young man!!

January 2015 Blizzard (Juno)

Finally got this together from the first blizzard of 2015.  We've had close to 3 feet of snow since and another blizzard on the way this Valentine's Day weekend.

We have had so much snow that we finally decided to do a little sled track off the back deck.  Another foot of snow coming this weekend!
