As optimistic as we were that Liana would get through her first winter without being sick the reality of germs and children have set in. After a week of watching and waiting for a cough to go away we found out on Friday that she has RSV. The poor little Nugget just hasn't been herself but I must say she has been quite a trooper through it all. We have had to "trick" her into taking her nebulizer treatments by turning on Sesame Street to distract her. We found out that she loves Elmo and will pretty much allow for us to give her the nebulizer if she can watch him.
Outside of the RSV things of note are the top two teeth coming in - I call them chicklets and Liana is making a new face where she bites down and scrunches up her whole eyes and nose. Very cute. Lots of "da..da..da" type babbling and crawling is around the corner. She is recognizing the words "hat", "light", "elmo" and "eyes" and will look to the appropriate item when quizzed.
